Stewardship to me is giving back to God. It is using my time, talent and treasure to help whenever and where ever I can.
This past weekend was our Oktoberfest, a Spirit of Stewardship. My wife used her talent and time to help with the kitchen preparations,
and my talent was putting on my makeup, wig, large pants, and "my clown face" and entertaining the children with animal balloons.
I was able to make swords, hearts, swans, dogs, cats, dolphins and a mixture of other "animals". The main thing that I was
using my time and talent to support the church at various events.
Stewardship is all about time, talent and treasure. It has been said that God can do more with the 10% than I can with the 100%.
If you have ever taken the plunge and committed to giving your tithe, you will never go back. When my wife and I decided to tithe
the entire 10% we have been so blessed that we would never give less than the 10% and often look for ways to give even more.
Stewardship includes time (we all have 24 hours each day), Bill Gates has 24 hours a day, you have 24 hours in each day. How will
you spend your day? We all have talents - There is something at Church that you can do. All you have to do is look for it.
Treasure - we should give God back only 10% of what he has given you. You keep 90%. Sounds like a good deal to me.
